Life Influences Art

In Conversation with Award-Winning Author Rylo Kinn

Sometimes you meet an interesting human by synchronicity, and that is exactly what happened when I met award-winning author, Rylo Kinn.

My book ‘Transforming the Mother Wound’ had just come out with Hay House, and I had a signing date at my local Indigo store. Rylo was there, setting up for his own signing of ‘The Dragon’s Flute’, a dark fantasy novel. I’m usually quite shy around people I don’t know, but Rylo was super approachable and in general, a grounding presence.

In this podcast episode, we talk about Rylo’s very interesting early life near Sechelt, British Columbia, how that shaped the person he is and created his ability to write a genre-bending story.

Rylo shares about books he’s read that grew his curiosity and writing style, and offers insights for writers starting out, or already, steadily, on the story-telling path.
